Lauren and I went to the Winfield Lock & Dam on a Sunday in the summer of 2000. We began our adventure with Lauren as navigator.
When we got to the parking lot and read the signs, we noticed the water was high. Lauren wanted to walk up the river a bit, standing on the embankment just north of the lock.
We then went down to the viewing area, taking pictures upriver and downriver of Lock and Dam No. 25 on the Mississippi.
